Chanakya
The Kingmaker
Chanakya, also called Kautilya, was the master strategist and political philosopher of the 4th century BCE who engineered the rise of Chandragupta Maurya and the overthrow of the Nanda dynasty. As royal advisor he is credited with the Arthashastra, a ruthless and far-sighted treatise on statecraft, economics, war, and espionage that helped forge and govern the vast Mauryan Empire.
