Keeper of Unfinished Endings

Anubis, the jackal-headed god of ancient Egypt, presided over embalming and guided the dead through the underworld. In the Hall of Judgment he weighed each heart against the feather of Ma'at, truth itself, to decide whether a soul passed into the afterlife or was devoured. Patient and impartial, he was protector of tombs and lord of the sacred rites of mummification.
