Anahita

Lady of the Pure Waters

Anahita is the Zoroastrian goddess of the waters, fertility, and wisdom, the source of all rivers and the cosmic sea. Crowned with stars and clothed in gold and beaver-skins, she drives a chariot drawn by four white horses of wind, rain, cloud, and sleet. Warriors and kings poured libations to her, beseeching strength in battle, healthy offspring, and the purifying flow of life.
