Edge of Obsidian
The macuahuitl bearer was an Aztec warrior wielding the dreaded macuahuitl, a wooden sword edged with razor-sharp obsidian blades. Capable of grievous cuts, it was the signature weapon of the empire's fighting orders, including the famed eagle and jaguar warriors. Trained from youth and seeking captives for sacrifice, these soldiers advanced the glory of Tenochtitlan on the battlefields of Mesoamerica.
