First Knight of the Lake

Lancelot du Lac, the foremost knight of King Arthur's Round Table, was raised in a lake by the fairy enchantress who gave him his name. Renowned as the most skilled warrior in Christendom and the embodiment of chivalry, he undertook many quests and rescued Queen Guinevere from peril. His secret and adulterous love for the queen, however, ultimately fractured the fellowship of the Round Table and helped bring about the downfall of Camelot.
