The Sky-Treader's Bane

Loki, the cunning trickster of Norse myth, was a shape-shifter of giant blood who moved among the gods of Asgard as both companion and troublemaker. His schemes by turns aided the gods, as when he secured Thor's hammer and other treasures, and doomed them, as when he engineered the death of the beloved god Baldr. For that crime he was bound beneath a venom-dripping serpent until Ragnarok, when he is fated to lead the forces of chaos against the gods.
