The Deathless

Koschei the Deathless is the immortal villain of Slavic folklore, a gaunt sorcerer who abducts the heroines of fairy tales and cannot be killed by ordinary means. His secret is that his death is hidden away outside his body, concealed within a needle, inside an egg, within a duck, within a hare, locked in an iron chest buried beneath an oak on a far island. Only by finding and breaking that needle can a hero finally bring about his end.
