The Bedouin nomad crossed the deserts of Arabia and North Africa by camel, navigating trackless dunes by the stars and surviving where settled empires perished of thirst. Organized by tribe and bound by fierce codes of honor and hospitality, the nomads controlled the caravan routes, trading and raiding across the sands. Their wealth lay in herds and mobility, their freedom in the open horizon no city could fence.
