Whisperer to Spirits

The shaman of the Central Asian steppe bridged the worlds of the living, the dead, and the spirits for the nomad tribes. Beating a drum into ecstatic trance, he journeyed in spirit to heal the sick, recover lost souls, guide the dead, and divine the will of the sky-god Tengri and the ancestors. Through him the unseen powers of wind, fire, and beast spoke to the clan, and his counsel shaped the fortunes of herds and war alike.
